Nepal is a small, beautiful country, famous for the majestic Himalayas, beautiful landscapes, rich cultural diversity, and its peaceful people. This country has always been a popular destination for visitors, explorers, and nature lovers. In spite of these natural blessings, Nepal is the second poorest country in the world. With a family per capita income of less than $240 per year, most Nepalese live well below the poverty line.

Most of the villages in Nepal are without school buildings, hospitals, water tanks, children's play grounds, and other basic infrastructural necessities. In the meantime, a rising population and the struggle for survival have destroyed most of the forest resources in past decades. Numerous efforts have been made through governmental organizations to improve the deteriorating situation but the villages and remote areas of Nepal show very few signs of these efforts.
