You can expect to pay over $2000 per person for the full package. While this includes everything from trekking costs to accommodation in Kathmandu as well it’s quite expensive for just Island Peak Climbing. 2. Do I need to provide tips during the Island Peak Climbing?

Tips are not obligatory in Nepal, but are considered custom to thank your local team for a service well done. If you would like to tip or give some gratuities we recommend a $10 for your guide and porters, this is the most common amount amongst tippers.

3. Can I continue on trekking after climbing Island Peak?

Yes, while this package only includes the climb of Island Peak, since you already have your permit you can continue to trek on in the Everest region. Due to the high elevation it’s obligatory to trek with a guide. Beyond the Limits is more than happy to extend its services for additional cost and take you throughout the region to Everest Base Camp or even the Gokyo Lakes!

4. Is it safe to climb Island Peak in Nepal?

Island peak as well as Mera Peak are considered as two of the safest peaks to climb in Nepal. Island Peak has little risks and secure ropes. Also used as a training peak for Everest summiteers you can rest assured and have a safe climb to the top of Island Peak.

5. Do I need any experience before climbing Island Peak?

No, you do not require any prior climbing experience to successfully summit Island Peak. Inclusive in this package is a detailed training day where our Beyond the Limits expert climbing guides teach you the ins and outs of peak climbing. We do recommend to build up your stamina with fitness training if it is your first time in the Himalayas!
