The feeling of being on top of the world is something we cannot express in words. Over the years, people with basic physical fitness have been trekking to the Everest base camp to explore the rich cultural and natural diversity of the Khumbu region and to experience what being on top of the world feels like. However, those with low stamina feel left out as they cannot trek for days on the rugged trail to see Everest. Be it the older or younger generation with health issues and endurance, they could only imagine being on the base camp if there were no Heli Tours.

However, the Everest Vew Helicopter Day Tour has made it possible for everyone to set foot on Kalapathar, the highest point of the Everest Base Camp Trek, to witness the incredible Mount Everest together with several peaks. Apart from enjoying the views of the Himalayas, this tour allow you to explore the Khumbu region. Below mentioned are few reasons why you should book your Heli Tour to Everest:

1 . An easy and comfortable way to see Everest
Trekking to the Everest Base Camp means spending several days on teahouses, walking for 6-7 hours daily and suffering from altitude sickness. However, with the Everest Heli Tour, you can skip all the hassle and fly over to the base camp, spend a few minutes, enjoy the views and get back to Kathmandu without having any health issues or exhaustion.

2. Breakfast at the Everest View Hotel amiud the Himalayas
The Everest view hotel is one of the highlights of the EBC trek, as it is the world's highest-altitude Hotel at an altitude of 3384m. And on your Heli Tour, you will stop by here to enjoy breakfast while enjoying the panorama of the surrounding Himalayas. You will have 30 minutes to enjoy the views and have breakfast.

3. The stop point- Kalapathar:
During your Everest Heli Tour, you will fly over the Khumbu region and the Everest base camp to land on Kalapathar, the highest point of the Everest base camp trek. Kalapathar offers a 360-degree panorama of several Himalayas including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Taboche and Lobuche. You can also see the Khumbu glacier and Khumbu icefall from the vantage point. The landing will be for 10-15 minutes as spending more time can be difficult to adjust at such a high altitude.

Best time for Everest Heli Tour in Nepal:

The Everest Heli Tour can be organized at any time of the year if the weather is favourable. An interesting thing is, the views you will see during your Heli tour vary in different seasons.

✔ Winter (December-February): Flying to the vantage point in winter is magical as all the peaks are covered in snow, and due to the cold climate, there will be fewer trekkers in Kalapathar as well. The average maximum temperature is  17˚C, and the minimum is -15˚C in winter.

✔ Spring (March-May): In the Spring season, the views of the Himalayas and the forests look enchanting as the weather clears off and the surrounding starts warming up. The weather is neither hot nor cold, so you can bear the temperature and have the best time.

✔ Monsoon (June-August): Monsoon is marked off-season in Nepal as the heavy rainfall and clouds block visibility, making it impossible for heli tours. However, on a clear day, you can fly to Kalapathar and enjoy the views.

✔ Autumn (September-December): This season is known as peak trekking season in Nepal, as the weather gets lovely after the receding monsoon clouds. You can enjoy the views of lush green vegetation and the breathtaking Himalayas.
