Kishor Gurung was born in the Gorkha District, in the Manaslu region - one of the most famous trekking areas in Nepal. He grew up in the mountains and completed his basic education there. After finishing school, he moved to Kathmandu in search of job opportunities. He tried several jobs but eventually found his passion in the tourism industry, starting as a trekking porter. After working for a few years, he gained strong knowledge of mountain tourism and became a licensed trekking guide.
Being a true mountain man, Kishor wanted to learn more about mountaineering, so he completed a Basic Mountaineering Course in Nepal. He then worked as an assistant climbing guide and gradually became a full-time mountaineering guide. He has successfully climbed Island Peak, Lobuche Peak, Ama Dablam, Manaslu, and Mount Everest the top of the world, and has also summited Mount Elbrus in Europe. He regularly leads climbing expeditions in Kazakhstan as well.
Today, Kishor specializes in popular trekking routes such as Manaslu, Annapurna, Everest, Dhaulagiri, dolopo ,Mustang and Langtang. He is known for his friendly personality, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of local culture and mountain geography. Safety and client satisfaction are always his top priorities. He communicates well in English and builds great rapport with international clients. Kishor has been a valued member of Beyond the Limits Treks & Expedition since 2016, helping travelers enjoy safe, informative, and unforgettable adventures in the Himalayas.
