Important Notice: Langtang Region Trek After Rasuwa Flood 2026
The Rasuwa Flood 2026, which occurred on August 26, 2026, caused severe damage along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors in Rasuwa. Syabrubesi, Timure and Rasuwagadhi, Trishuli Bazaar, Devighat, Galchhi were among the badly affected areas, with roads, bridges, settlements and other infrastructure damaged or swept away.
For trekkers, the main concern is access to Syabrubesi, the traditional starting point of the Langtang Region Trek. The usual road connection has been seriously affected, and some sections around Syabrubesi remain difficult or inaccessible while recovery and reconstruction work continues.
It is important to understand that the disaster mainly affected the lower river valley and access corridor. The higher Langtang trekking route was not affected in the same way, although local trail and access conditions must be checked carefully before any trek.
If you are planning the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek in 2026, please stay in contact with Beyond the Limits Treks for the latest information on road conditions, trail access and possible alternative routes.
