How will you meet the guide?

This short Lobuche Peak Climbing service begins and ends in Lobuche village.  You can combine your Trek Gokyo valley and cross Chola Pass, and meet our climbing guide at Lobuche. Second option, those who are trekking to Everest Base Camp can return from Base Camp and Kalpatthar to Lobuche village, where you meet your Sherpa guide and join the ascent.

Technical Overview and Climbing Routes

Lobuche Peak climb is short, but it is a technical climbing peak in Nepal. Climbers need to use all the mountaineering techniques for this peak to make summite of Lobuche peak safe and scenic. The climb involves a combination of :

The most commonly used climbing route for the summit of Lobuche Peak is the South Ridge. The summit day starts from the Lobuche High Camp. Near the summit, climbers will come across a 45-degree ice slope, which can be completed with basic mountaineering skills and prior training. Climbers use crampons, ice axes, harnesses, and ropes for safety. Despite this, the climb remains accessible for adventurous, fit trekkers who have completed high-altitude treks and basic climbing training.

Summit Day Description

Summit day starts from Lobuche High Camp after breakfast in the camp made by our kitchen team. The route involves climbing over rocky ridges, snow slopes, and fixed rope sections where our guides provide full support. After a challenging but rewarding ascent, we reach the summit of Lobuche Peak, standing face to face with Everest and the surrounding giants. After celebrating and taking photos, we descend carefully back to camp, carrying unforgettable memories of a true Himalayan achievement.

And for trekkers who are already in the Everest region or doing any other treks solo and want to do Lobuche peak climbing, our short 2-night / 3-day Lobuche peak Climbing package is available at US$850 per person. This package is designed for trekkers who are looking for a quick summit extension.

Yes, some basic experience with crampons, an ice axe, and a rope is recommended. However, our professional Sherpa guides for Lobuche climbing provide full support and basic training in High Camp before you attempt to summit.

If you are trekking on your own  the famous village Dingboche  you will meet the climbing guide and talked about climbing and gear check. Than if you are going to Everest basecamp for the trek than you can fixed the date to meet with climbing guide for short Lobuche peak. If you are trekking via gokyo valley and cross over chola pass that case you will meet your guide at Lobuche village  and next day set out for Lobuche high camp.

If you will bring your personal climbing Gears from your country it is fine but If you  don't have any climbing gears for Lobuche peak you can rent them in Dingboche. you can rent  all the climbing equipment at Dingboche
