Helambu Gosaikunda Trekking 9 days is a short-distance trek starting from Kathmandu. This trek is along the famous Helambu cultural village and holy Lake of Gosainkunda, It is easily accessible from Kathmandu to the Sundarijal Trekking starting point by  Public bus or private jeep. if would start your trek from Dhunche bazaar, you can travel by luxury bus or private Jeep. It takes about 4-5 hours. This region doesn’t require any flights, like everest base camp trek or the Annapurna trek, so local or private roadway transportation are acceble. As only a few Trekking adventurers have a short drive from Kathmandu to start the trekking Helambu Gosainkunda is one of them. the trek is more exciting and full of breathtaking views. The area was declared Nepal’s first Himalayan National Park in 1971, which has Ganesh Himal, Ruby Valley to the west, Langtang valley north, and the Gosaikunda and Helambu region to the south. The trek also offers a splendid panorama of Mt. Manaslu and Langtang Lirung. Langtang region is the homeland of the Tamang, Helmo, and Sherpa communities who are rather more like Tibetans just across the border of this area based on their culture and customs. Temperate and sub-alpine vegetation is available in the forests of this region. Holy Gosaikunda Lake, the Tamang heritage route, the popular Sing Gompa, a Cheese factory & green pastures are just some of the highlights of this region that offer deep insights into the rural village life in Nepal.

This day you will land at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu where you will be warmly received by the representative staff from Beyond the Limit Treks and Expedition. From Tribhuban International Airport (TIA), you will be transferred to the hotel in a comfortable vehicle. These tiny things show how much we care for you. Arriving at the hotel we will discuss the detailed itinerary. Stay overnight in a hotel.

Helambu Gosaikunda  Trekking adventure starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, the starting point of Shivapuri National Park. From here, the trail gently winds upward through dense forests and traditional stone pathways, giving you a taste of Nepal’s serene mountain landscapes.

Along the way, you’ll pass through Mulkharka, a charming Tamang village where you can pause for lunch and soak in the local culture. The trail is alive with the sounds of chirping birds, flowing streams, and cascading waterfalls, making every step refreshing. A few official checkpoints ensure your park permit is in order as you journey deeper into the jungle.

As the forest opens up, your first glimpses of the majestic Himalayas appear on the horizon. The day concludes in Chisapani, a tranquil hilltop village celebrated for its panoramic views of the sunrise and sunset over the mountains a perfect spot to rest and reflect on the start of your trek.

After breakfast trek to Kutumsang which takes about seven hours. The trail continues to drop from Chisopani on a good, sometimes level, trail that crosses meadows and fields. You will then descend through Pathi Bhanjyang to Gul Bhanjyang. The trail climbs the ridge from Gul Bhanjyang to another pass at 2620m. The meadow makes a good camping spot, its downhill to Kutumsang at 2470m, in a saddle atop the ridge, Overnight at tea house/lodge.

After breakfast trek to Thara pati which takes about five hours. The trek continues north up the Yurin Danda ridge and affords views of the peaks. The trail climbs above Kutumsang on a steep, eroded trail mostly through fir and rhododendron forests where there are no permanent settlements. Now you will be in Tharepati. There are a few lodges and Goths (Domestic Animal Shed) and overnight Tea houses.

After having breakfast in the Lodge in Tharepati the trail goes a little down and walking a Nepali flat with oak forest and bamboo forest have lunch in Ghopte and trek to Phedi overnight at lthe odge with B/L/D

After an early breakfast at Shing Gompa, you’ll begin your descent toward the lush valleys below. The trail winds gently through pine and rhododendron forests, with streams and terraced fields adding to the scenic charm. Along the way, you’ll pass small local villages where you can meet friendly locals and get a glimpse of rural Himalayan life.

Lunch can be enjoyed at a village teahouse, taking in the peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air. The trail continues downhill, gradually opening up to wider valley views and distant peaks.

By mid to late afternoon, you’ll reach Dhunche Bazaar, the administrative center of Rasuwa district. Here, you can relax, explore the small town, and enjoy a warm meal after your day of trekking. The combination of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and easy walking makes this section a perfect balance.

After completing your trek and spending the morning in Dhunche Bazaar, you’ll board your private or Public Transportation depends on the package you book. for the journey back to Kathmandu. The drive takes you through scenic valleys, terraced fields, and rivers, offering a final glimpse of the majestic Himalayan landscapes.

The road winds through the Trishuli River valley, passing small villages, suspension bridges, and local markets where you can see everyday life in rural Nepal. Depending on stops for rest or photos, the drive usually takes 5–6 hours, giving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the scenery.

You’ll arrive in Kathmandu in the afternoon or early evening, where your trek ends. This is the perfect opportunity to unwind, freshen up, and reflect on your Himalayan adventure.

Each porter can carry a total of 22 kilograms, which is typically shared between two clients (approximately 11 kilograms per person). Hiring a porter is highly recommended for a more comfortable and enjoyable trekking experience.
