Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu Kathmandu

Our team representative welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport. He/she then takes you to the hotel and quickly briefs you about the day program. You can rest for a few hours until dinner. Later, you have a welcome dinner organized by the company. Meet with other team members over the dinner and explore the vibrant streets of Thamel.

Have a delicious breakfast, and get ready to drive to Chame. The drive is long. You can see tempting views of rolling lush green hills, rivers, small settlement areas, and colorful terraced fields along the drive. Likewise, the drive also offers stunning views of mountains like Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, etc.

The trail from Chame ascends through dense forest along the Marsyangdi River. Further, passing through meadows, enjoying stunning views of snow-capped mountains, you come across a giant rock known as Paungda Dada rock. From here, you trek and reach Upper Pisang to spend the night. You can see a superb view of Mt. Annapurna II from this village.

Today, the trail gradually ascends to Braga (3,500 m), following the valley floor. It is a beautiful village with a distinct placement of houses. From here, you walk witnessing the countryside view and reach Manang, a very famous village. This village offers breath-taking landscape and mountain views.

It is a rest day at Manang village. There are so many things to do around this village, from several options for hikes to adventurous activities like horse riding, etc. Explore the village, and hike to beautiful Gangapurna Lake. Likewise, you also visit ancient monasteries and explore old caves.

The trail drops down to a river called Khangsar Khola. Crossing the river, you head towards Khangsar village. It is a short trekking day, therefore you have ample time to rest and explore the village. This village is also known as the last village of Nepal and influenced by Tibetan culture and tradition.

Leaving Khangsar behind, you pass by a gompa and continue trekking along a recently built path. The trail ascends to a high ridge and takes you to an intersection. From here, two-path goes to Tilicho Base Camp. The first path is rugged, steep, and tough, whereas the second route is newly made and is less challenging. Following the second path, you reach a high crest and descend. The trail from here takes you to the base camp for night stay.

You wake up early and hike to Tilicho Lake. Upon reaching the lake, you will see a tempting view of the shining lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. After spending some time at the lake, you descend to Siri Khara to spend the night.

From Siri Kharka, the trail ascends to Yak Kharka. You trek through Tenki Manang, and from here, leaving the Marsyangdi valley, you trek along the Jarsang Khola valley. The trail will take you to Yak Kharka, which is a grazing ground for yaks.

After having a warm breakfast, you begin trekking from Yak Kharka and ascend along the east bank of the Jarsang Khola. The trail is on the tough side. Ascending through a rugged path, you reach Thorong Phedi also known as High Camp for night stay. The views from this place are wonderful.

Today is a long trekking day. You begin trekking early in the morning. The trail gradually ascends to the top of the Thorong La Pass. The trail is challenging and involves steep climbing. From the top of the pass, you can see phenomenal views of snow-capped mountains. After spending some time here, you descend to one of the very important pilgrimage sites of Nepal, Muktinath Temple. This specific place is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year from all around the world.

You will wake up early in the morning and visit the temple and shrines around it. After that, you begin trekking towards Jomsom. The trail descends to Eklebhatti and further, follows the Kali Gandaki river. On the way, you get to see the deepest gorge in the world, Kali Gandaki gorge. Passing through Kagbeni and lovely apple orchards, you reach Jomsom.

Today, an early morning flight takes you back to Pokhara. Upon landing at Pokhara, you head to the hotel. The remaining day is free. You can explore around the hotel and visit famous tourist sites like Davis Falls, Bat Cave, etc. Likewise, in the evening, you can go boating on the tranquil Fewa Lake, enjoying a gorgeous sunset.

After having breakfast, you drive or fly back to Kathmandu. If you opt to fly to Kathmandu, then you will have the entire day to you. You can relax and do some shopping. In the evening, the company will organize a farewell dinner for you.

Variation:

There is an option of extending the Tilicho Lake and Thorong La Pass Trek if you have extra days to traverse. You can join the famous Annapurna Base Camp Trek or trek to remote Nar and Phu valley known as Nar Phu Valley Trek.
